On most trims with the EcoBoost engine, the Maverick sends its power through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Uniquely, the Maverick Lobo™ trim utilizes a seven-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for more control and a deeper connection to the driving experience.
