The Ford 2021 Mustang Mach-E

If you are looking for an all-electric SUV with real style and performance, the new Mustang Mach-E is the perfect choice for you. Ford’s first all-electric crossover, The Mach-E will be available in five different models. Named and designed after Ford’s iconic pony, the illustrious high-performance crowned prince of the Ford family, this newcomer makes a statement all its own.

New for 2021

The first Mustang Mach-Es will be rolling out by late 2020, but you can reserve one now with a $500 deposit. There are five different models to choose from:

  • Select - $44,995
  • Premium - $51,700
  • California Route 1 - $53,500
  • First Edition - $61,000
  • GT – $61,600

The Premium model is expected to offer a driving range of 300 miles when paired with the extended range battery and rear-wheel drive. However, if you prefer the all-wheel drive version, the range will be 270 miles.

All models are available with either a standard-range battery (75.7 kWh) or an extended-range pack (98.8 kWh). These feed the electric motor, which is mounted on the rear axle on the rear-wheel drive models, and on both axles on the all-wheel drive versions.

Performance

“Mach-E” was added to the name as a nod to the ‘70s muscle cars (Mustang Mach 1) known for power and performance. The GT model of the new Mustang Mach-E is the perfect example of why. When equipped with the dual-motor, all-wheel drive option, it will boast 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque and will race from zero to 60 mph in less than four seconds.

The other models offer between 255 and 332 horsepower, and from 306 to 417 lb-ft torque, riding on wheels that can be equipped with adaptive dampers for adjustable ride firmness.

Battery Life, Range, and Charging

The EPA-estimated range for the 2021 Mustang Mach-E is between 210 and 300 miles, depending on the type of battery pack and motor(s). A fast-charging capability is available on every model, and Ford will have the largest charging network available in the United States. Every model comes with a Ford mobile charger that will add 30 miles of range overnight in a regular 120-volt outlet, and up to 80% of a full charge when plugged into a 240-volt outlet. Ford charging stations are available to order online to be installed by a certified electrician.

Cargo and Comfort

The battery of the Mach-E is located under the floor of the car which allows for maximum passenger and cargo space. It has 29 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats that increases to 60 cubic feet when the back seats are folded. The front trunk is constructed from durable plastics, making it easy to rinse and drain.

Equipped with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and lots more, this vehicle is designed to be as comfortable as it is stylish. The streamlined dashboard has an attractive digital gauge cluster and an extra-large, vertically mounted touchscreen. The flip-up armrest on the center console provides storage between the front-seat passengers for a purse or other items.

SYNC Infotainment System

Ford’s next-gen Sync system offers a fully customizable experience, supporting three driver profiles and one guest. The convenient touchscreen allows easy access to the system’s array of features and apps, including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bang and Olufsen audio system.
